NHCCU History

New Horizons Community Credit Union was founded in 1934 to serve the employees of the Gates Rubber Company. Originally called Gates Credit Union, we were one of the earliest chartered credit unions in Colorado. In our history of 70+ years we have helped thousands of members and their families in obtaining low rate loans, high interest savings products and low cost services.

In the spring of 2000 we changed our name to New Horizons Community Credit Union.

New Horizons Community Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative. That means that, once you become a member, you have joined thousands of other members nationwide who have chosen the money saving alternative to traditional banks. You are no longer merely a customer with an account number; you are part owner of the Credit Union.
