Privacy Policy

At New Horizons Community Credit Union, we understand how important personal privacy is to you. As a result, we have adopted the following Privacy Policy, in order to better serve you, our valued Member. Privacy and security concerning your personal affairs is of the utmost importance to us. We have implemented standards and procedures designed to prevent the misuse of information you have entrusted to us. These standards and procedures are based on applicable federal laws and Colorado state statues which will govern how we handle your account with us. This policy pertains to all credit union business, including electronic transactions.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

• Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
• Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and
• Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

New Horizons Community Credit Union does not collect or maintain information about its members that is not essential for prudent business purposes.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members and former members to anyone; except as permitted by law.

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with or exceed federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

We will provide personally identifiable information about you to a third party such as a vendor or service company that we hire to prepare your account statements or to provide support or services for one or more of our products. These vendors and service companies have agreed to safeguard our confidential information about you, and any products and services which you use.

Member information may be shared with New Horizons Financial Services as deemed appropriate. New Horizons Financial Services is solely owned and by the Credit Union and provides non-traditional financial services to its members. Except as stated above, we will not knowingly reveal any account information or other personally identifiable information to a third party not affiliated with New Horizons Community Credit Union, unless one of the following applies: 1) The information is required in order to complete a transaction initiated by you; 2) You request or authorize the disclosure of information; 3) We are required or allowed to by law; or 4) The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency. The information provided to credit reporting agencies is protected by federal law and its use is strictly governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

NEW HORIZONS COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION'S PRIVACY POLICY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. NO PROVISIONS CONTAINED HEREIN SHALL BE DETERMINED TO CHANGE OR ALTER ANY OTHER CONTRACTS OR POLICIES BETWEEN NEW HORIZONS COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION AND ITS MEMBERS.
